What is Causing High Sugar and Weakness in an 87-Year-Old?
My grandmother is around 87 years old. Since last 2 days she has high sugar. She is not able to talk properly, only responding with hmm. She is having trouble eating, cough is formed in her throat. She is feeling very weak. What could be the reason? Will she be okay? What to do?

A high blood sugar level that your grandmother has been experiencing could be indicative of diabetic ketoacidosis. They can lead to clarity, speaking, and weakness. I highly recommend the specialist endocrinologist or diabetologist appointment as soon as possible for her to get a comprehensive evaluation and proper management.
