My bp reaches 159/83. Do I need medication?
Answered on 18th May '24
A blood pressure of 159/83 is considered high and may require medication to manage. It's essential to consult with a cardiologist to evaluate your condition and determine the best treatment plan for you.

I stopped taking my heart medications for about a month. Today, I had a sudden pressure fall. Yesterday, I again started taking my heart medication that is cidmus 100 mg, cardichem 3.125 mg and eptus 25 mg which reduces high pressure. Now since I have low pressure what medicine should I take to maintain my heart treatment and also balance my pressure? Shall I stop taking cidmus for now?
Answered on 16th May '24
It's crucial to never stop heart medications without consulting your doctor, as sudden changes can lead to complications like pressure fluctuations. Since you're experiencing low pressure now, it's important to seek immediate medical advice from your cardiologist, who can recommend adjustments to your medication routine to balance your pressure while maintaining your heart treatment effectively. Always prioritize your health and consult a healthcare professional for personalized guidance.

I have severe pain on my right back side of heart and i have move upwards my right hand. I have pain when i take breathe on my right side of heart. I cant even lie down on bed
Answered on 14th May '24
There are multiple parts of the chest, and one of them is the chest bone. It could be because of, for example, muscle tears or the inflammation of the sack around your lungs. Take sufficient rest and apply ice on the painful spot. In addition to these recommendations make yourself breathe deeply and refrain from lifting heavy objects. Should the pain persist or increase, it’s high time to visit a cardiologist to get an accurate diagnosis and receive logical treatment.

I am a 51 years old male. I have been experiencing a discomforting and life threatening beat around my heart area. A feeling that can be likened to that of fear even when I ain't scared of anything. I have visited the hospital severally for this reason. I have done series of test and X-ray which results I have but the doctor couldn't give me a significant explanation as it pertains to this complain. Please ????????????????doctor help me, this feeling is life threatening.
Answered on 7th May '24
This might be caused by something called anxiety or panic attacks, which make your heart beat fast and give you a scared feeling even when there’s no reason to be afraid. These attacks can be so frightening but they won’t hurt you. You should talk to your cardiologist or a mental healthcare provider who can teach you how to cope with them.

Dr, my mom's pulse rate is 58..is that normal? I'm really feared because she had a hand vein surgery.. It's been 8yrs
Answered on 6th May '24
Many people have a pulse rate of 58 beats each minute, and no symptoms such as dizziness, weariness, and pain in the chest area may be seen in them, which is considered normal. It is good for her to have a steady pulse rate. The change in the pulse rate is not caused directly by the operation at present but it is necessary to check it frequently. If she feels okay and does not have any other problems, then she should be fine in general. You should always see a cardiologist if there are any worrying symptoms or developments.

I am having pain in my left side of chest since few hours
Answered on 6th May '24
Many things could cause chest pains such as muscle strains, indigestion, or lung problems but even more serious conditions like heart attacks can also be to blame. These other symptoms might include being out of breath quickly when you haven’t done very much exertion, or feeling lightheaded so watch out for them too. Try laying down somewhere comfortable with your eyes closed and take some slow deep breaths – this will make sure our bodies get enough oxygen if it’s just stress. Please visit a cardiologist as soon as possible.

I am 23 years old female . I am having chest pain on the left side for more than 3 months now and the pain gets worse during the night . I cant understand if the pain is due to gas or due to muscle sprain or the pain is in the breast. Sometimes i feel breathlessness too and the pain gets worse before periods
Answered on 6th May '24
Pain to the left side that gets worse at night particularly before your monthly periods while at the same time breathless may be due to using heat packs and taking over-the-counter pain relievers. In case, the pain persists, it is wise to seek medical advice from a cardiologist.
